A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Phil – a dad, husband, photographer, artist in Montclair, New Jersey.

You know only too well that the most beautiful moments are fleeting:

One second they’re toddlers.
The next minute they’re in the school play.
Turn around and they’re leaving for college.
They grow up so fast, don’t they.

You will never forget any of these things, but sometimes it’s hard to remember all the details. Professional photography is one of the best ways to assure that those memories are captured forever. I know you’re on this website for a reason – because you believe (as I do) that photography really matters and can add depth and meaning to life – not just today, but years down the road.

You’ll want photographs that succeed in capturing the essence and personality of your senior, which you can share with your family and friends – portraits that will continue to be looked at years from now (maybe even by grandchildren!). You want to capture – in all its glory – the beauty and the individuality of your senior right now, because everything will have changed by tomorrow.

Tomorrow will bring another milestone, or another adventure, but “today” will have become “yesterday”, and before you know it, “today” will become “last year”. Photography can stop time.

I have a great studio in the heart of artsy Montclair, New Jersey, in the historic Murdoch-Fairchild Building, with lots of backgrounds and an incredible lighting system. The place is so cool, it’s been the background for TV commercials and videos.  Surrounding the studio I have great spots that are urban and shabby-chic, other places that look like France or Italy, and I even have nearby forests, waterfalls and giant boulders.
